The Third Key to Accessing Your Intuition – Asking for Clarity

As we’ve seen in the last two Soulful Coaching newsletters, the first two steps to Accessing Your Intuition (they are Acknowledging Your Body and Embracing Your Body) allow us to prepare our ourselves so that we can receive the valuable information that is kept there. Once we have re-connected with our bodies and opened the channel for hearing our body wisdom, the next step is Asking for Clarity.

If you haven’t done this before, it is amazing to discover that you really can hear the answers and information that are right for you if you simply ask the questions. So often, we forget to ask. However, the act of asking the question provides us an opportunity to focus on the issue at hand and get clear on what it is we really want to know.

Take Action - Ask for Clarity

1)Get Centered: Take 5 minutes out of the hustle and bustle of your day in a quiet, comfortable place. Close your eyes and take in 3 deep breathes, focusing on each breathe as you watch it move through your throat, to your heart, down into your belly, and back up again.

2)Ask for clarity: Focus in on the situation that you would like some information/intuition on. Ask a specific question about the situation out loud. Some examples of questions are: “What do I need to know about this situation right now?”, “What is my next step here?”,  or “What needs to be revealed to me next?”

3)Listen: You may hear the answer, or see it, or simply know it deep inside. Whatever it is, allow yourself to be open to the answer. It may be something completely new, even shocking, or it may be something you’ve known all along. Perhaps you will only hear a part of your answer; that’s ok too. Ask again the next day.
