I have been suffering from depression for years, although I have recently hit a crossroads on my journey. Let me say, first of all, it is important to be under a doctor’s care if you have symptoms of depression or anxiety. Medication may or may not be the answer, or part of the answer. The other part of the solution is to be involved in your own recovery. That’s the part I am having to learn. I have to follow my doctor’s orders and begin to take the steps everyday to help me become more healthy.
I am chronicling my journey on my blog at:

I also started journaling again. I used to do so almost daily. I believe it will also be a big part of my healing
